On May 8th Phil Moshoyannis (Lee Avenue) and Beth Atkinson (High School) were honored at the Town of Oyster Bay Town Hall in a ceremony celebrating National Teacher Recognition Day. Phil and Beth received official citations from Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino.
Phil was recognized for being selected as one of only 76 teachers as a Fulbright Fellow. Phil will be travelling to Peru in June where he will spend three weeks touring Peru and observing classrooms in a variety of geographical settings.
Beth received her citation for her service to the Hicksville schools, the community service she has performed as well as recognition for the awards that she has received over the past 32 years as she will be retiring at the end of this school year.
