Hicksville teachers raised over $1,300 in gift cards to area supermarkets for the Hero Hunger Help Project to benefit food insecure veterans. Members of the ME Committee delivered the cards Saturday, March 3rd, and met with VA staff and residents. Volunteer coordinator Laura Merring accepted the donations and thanked the HCT for its generosity. HCT also purchased nail clippers to be used for veteran residents and stamps for use in the VA office.
