The HCT hosted its annual luncheon for 35 of the new teachers on Thursday, August 27, 2015. Executive officers, Joan Deem, Tom Glenn, Mary Masteron, Kathy Rieger, Amanda Mayr and ME Committee Chairs Kyrstin Stehle and Justina Ketyer met with new staff members to discuss the benefits of HCT membership and the importance of participating in our union. Important contractual matters were reviewed and new members were encouraged to contribute NYSUT's Vote Cope and sign up for the MAC app to start the year off right. Each new member received the book, "How to Survive Your First Job, or Any Job" along with some HCT swag!
We wish our new members the best of luck this year as we stand behind them, supporting them every step of the way!
